RSQ musicians are happy to perform for your outdoor event Because of the delicate nature of their instruments, if an engagement is to be outdoors, the area must be shaded, since direct sunlight can harm the varnish on string instruments.
The ideal temperature for an outdoor event is between 70 and 85 degrees F.

A shady spot, on the side of a building or under a tree is suitable, but you must take into consideration he time of day your event will occurs when choosing the shady location.
Instruments cannot be anywhere near drizzle or blowing rain,
Under a tent is fine on a rainy day if protected from the wind as well

The musicians of RSQ maintain the highest integrity, and take great pride in their musical contribution to your event and the professional manner in which our product is delivered. RSQ members enjoy playing outdoors, as long as the conditions do not require us to compromise our musical or professional integrity.

If you are considering hiring RSQ for your outdoor event, we ask that you also consider the following points :

On a particularly hot day, musicians may not be dressed in tuxedos and concert black. The musicians will dress in conservative professional attire appropriate for the outdoor temperature of that day. This may mean that the men remove their jackets and tie, and women may wear sleeveless tops and sandals. This less formal attire only applies when the engagement is scheduled to be outdoors on a day when the projected temperature is above 80 degrees.

What may be an acceptable low outdoor temperature for a guest may be too low for our musicians and their instruments. For instance, if the temperature is a chilly 60 degrees, a guest may wear a coat, while a musician cannot possibly perform professional quality on a fine instrument with a coat on.

Please discuss the options with an RSQ representative before contracting our services for an outdoor event, knowing that we will do everything possible to accommodate your vision.

Musicians MUST be provided with a dry and hard surface to perform on.
