General Wedding Information
Whether your wedding is in a house of worship, a private home or in one of the area’s exquisite rental mansions, the music you choose is a vital contribution to the atmosphere you create.

RSQ is well-versed in ceremonies of all denominations and have full understanding of the music, traditions and restrictions within all houses of worship. Ceremonies are not limited to churches and synagogues. RSQ representatives are happy to discuss options available for your unique event.

Prelude music before your ceremony begins approximately 15 minutes before the time stated on your invitation. Musicians arrive approximately ½ hour prior to the time the music is scheduled to begin.

Music can be highlighted as much or as little as you like during the service. RSQ representatives can assist you in choosing your ceremony music. Most planning is completed through email and phone conversations with the aid of our demo CD. Prelude/Postlude music does not need to pre-determined unless you plan to include the selections in a program. An appropriate mix of music is usually chosen by the ensemble performing unless you have specific requests.

Specialty instruments are available to enhance your event. Trumpet, vocal and keyboard options are a few examples of “specialty” instruments. An RSQ representative will be happy to discuss how you can incorporate this.

Ensemble members or a non-playing representative can attend your rehearsal for an additional fee.

You are not limited to the options on our CD or in this brochure. If you have a unique musical vision we are happy to customize a package to suit your event and budget.

Catholic Wedding Masses
RSQ is well-versed in the Catholic wedding mass, and is aware of the musical restrictions in the Catholic church. A Catholic Wedding planner is available to help you plan your music, and to show you where music is traditionally played in the service. Musicians are also able to play the parts of the mass. Both male and female vocalists are available, as well as a trumpet player. We are happy to work with your church organist or provide our own organist, if you prefer.

With our knowledge of the mass we can help you plan your service, and are happy to discuss the details in advance with the music director or priest at your church.

Jewish Ceremonies
RSQ plays many Jewish services, both in synagogue and in other settings. We have a separate repertoire list of traditionally performed Jewish wedding music, and are sensitive to the composers that should be avoided for these religious events.

Cocktail hours and Receptions
The Ensembles provide classical music for both the classical music lover and the novice listener. Our standard chamber groups are duo, trio and quartet, with all strings or flute with strings. However, we also offer combinations of other instruments. If you are interested in an ensemble or instrument you do not hear on the CD please feel free to ask. Popular and contemporary music is also available, with keyboard as an optional addition. This option has limited availability and special pricing.
